We have arrived.

There is just one more stop on the road to Las Pegasus, and one of the most highly anticipated music festivals in the entire country. The one festival that simply everypony wants to attend at least once (well, that is if they're even a fan of electronic music; although the Appleloosa Country Corral is pretty good too). It has gotten so big, that it has even received spin-offs held in different parts of Equestria. While its organizers consider them to be the appetizers, the fans eat it up just as much as the main course. Besides, what's the harm in holding a spin-off of a festival celebrating the summer solstice in the middle of spring?

The harm is that, if this event didn't exist, you wouldn't be going to Baltimare right now for the... 

ALICORN PARTY!

You just knew we were teasing something, right? Well, it's finally here. Chrystalize Append is an expansion to Chrystalize, created almost entirely by Dreamland200 (well, Dreamland200 did all the steps, but Lirodon did some of the art and courses too). This expansion has a theme; specifically, songs that were performed at the Bronypalooza concerts at BronyCon.

There are 25 songs in all, all of which feature single and doubles charts. Although it is considered an "expansion" to Chrystalize, it is essentially a standalone pack with its own folder, and even some of its own courses too (you can call it TrotMania 2.5, essentially). This will be the last TrotMania release until we begin to let a certain cat known as TMIII out of the bag...

Chrystalize: Extra Lv. 8 (FINAL UPDATE)

The time has come. All games strive for it, but only once every few months does a game reach...full ascension.

TrotMania Chrystalize has now officially completed its run along with sister project TrotMania Crusaders. Over 200 songs were introduced in the two games, and now finales for both projects are available to play!

Finally, we have released the penultimate patch for TrotMania Chrystalize, and it's one of the biggest yet! 20 popular licenses for Crusaders, including several that made the year-end Billboard charts, 8 BEMANI songs including the first 3 full contributions by new step artist John Peck, and 3 brand new songs for Chrystalize along with the Extra Stage songs from last patch available in full! We also have arranged oodles of new courses, finished up 1st, 2nd, and 5th MIX's current rosters, and have even added several songs from the legendary DanceDanceRevolution MAX! Last time, there ended up being 3 preview posts for the various aspects of the [6] patch. We hope to alleviate that with this sole info post for gameplay previews, song info, and perhaps some extra stuff!

A few weeks ago, we revealed some of the tracks coming to TrotMania Crusaders in the next update (By the way, a couple songs have been added since the initial posting, so check it out again!), and now it's Chrystalize's turn!

Showdown: Imminent

As you are well aware, today marked the beginning of a new era for ponykind... well, the premiere of Season 4. Thankfully, we all enjoyed it (and indeed, it gave your faithful leader some cool ideas for the next version, huzzah!). But more importantly, we are getting closer to the end of Chrystalize, which means that over the next few updates (particularly the next one, which will be a 5b), there will be some surprises. Well, in particular, you got the aforementioned Ponybox stuff, but there will also be a new course. It's a course with songs so nuts that one wrong move will cost you dearly. We are also not kidding.

We plan on deploying this update on Thursday, so get ready!

Ponybox - Event #2

A scant few weeks ago, the latest album from dance artist Sim Gretina was released under the name Ponybox. A collection of mostly vocal tracks, the beats are varied and the genres even more so. Thus, it was a natural fit to promote the album here at TrotMania with a bundle of songs! The following 3 tracks will be released together as part of the event:

• Cherry Tree (feat. Emily Jones) - An acoustic love song with an electro autotune tinge.
• Daring Do (feat. Kathy-chan) - A track perfect for the beach with alluring vocals and a tribal style.
• When the Bass Drops (feat. Nowacking) - A cool, straight dance beat leads this song along with its star vocal talent, feeling like a song that would make it to the radio if it were mainstream.

TrotMania Crusaders [6] New Songs

This upcoming patch is probably arriving around the holiday season, but we still have a fair amount of content to reveal! Take a gander past the page break.

Chrystalize: Extra Lv. 5a (Something sweet to bite)

Well, it is October 31, 2013. Some call it Halloween, some call it Nightmare Night, some call it All Hallow's Eve, some call it "Go to your Neighbour's Door Unannounced and Beg for Free Candy Day" (Too old for free candy? *SQUAWK* Never...). But there's something more important about this day in relevance to us. In particular, TrotMania I came out just 365 nights ago! (Yes, note, 365 nights. Not days)

But now, how far have we come? As of now, we have at least 221 songs and 2 full "mixes", all the work of a team of 13 contributors (now, obviously, if you want to be one, just get in touch with me or RIME and we'll hook you up. Preferably in the chat room). But anyway, today, we're going to backtrack a little; in honor of this particular milestone, the following update contains five new Lunatic charts for five songs from the aforementioned first pack! Specifically:

• Doctor Who Theme (JAKAZiD Remix)
• Evil Enchantress (Euro Spell Mix)
• Luna (Dream Mode)
• Octavia's Overture
• Smile Smile Smile

But I know you're probably wondering, "Hey, but its Nightmare Night! Why aren't you adding that WoodenToaster song about it too?"

Those initial reveals for the Chrystalize and Crusaders tracks in [5] withheld some info so that they could be kept a surprise until release. Well, release starts tonight, and the tracks are finally ready to show off! Spoil yourself now past the break or leave them a surprise for the release...

TrotMania Crusaders [5] New Songs

As you probably can tell, TrotMania Crusaders has been getting a good bit of attention lately in development, especially with that mega 43-song pack in [4]. Well, that was an accumulation of a lot of content from abandoned projects plus some new material, so the chances of that large an update again are somewhere around "non-existent". That doesn't mean we are giving up; it just means there will be a more normal size for updates from here on out (I will confirm that Crusaders is still going to be the companion game for Chrystalize's sequel, at the very least). As such, for [5], there are 8 songs to be added to the Crusaders category. Read on to find out which!

After receiving a large amount of clarification
I journeyed down the path of restoration.

With what I've changed, it makes more sense
It's much better now; those are my two cents.

So, we got a new update. With some new songs. And a new way of downloading it too.
